6th Annual Grand Bahama Road Cycling Championship

Good Afternoon Cyclists,   The 6th Annual Grand Bahama Road Cycling Championships have been postponed due to a new venture presented by Mr. Joao Gabriel Amado. On Saturday July 21st 2012, the club will host a ride to raise awareness of the hunger rate in the caribbean and the disaster preparedness that should be put in place to assist with hunger prevention. Funds raised during this ride will be donated to the WWASH Organization, whose vision is to reduce world hunger and whose mission is to help farmers preserve their crop diversity to supply the countries that need them most.    The total distance of this ride is 100 miles consisting of a route leading into McClean's Town and back to Freeport. However, there will be shorter routes for persons who cannot make the complete journey.   For more information on the organization and its efforts please visit: http://www.wwash.org/ .   Please assist the GBCC in supporting Mr. Amado and the WWASH Organization, by spreading this message to anyone you feel may be interested in participating in this event. The entry fee for this event is a donation of $20.00. However, you can donate more than this if you wish.   I will continue to send updates on this event as they occur. The new date of the GBCC Road Cycling Championships is Monday August 6th 2012.   Rowshan.
